First Ammendment

The First Amendment to our Constitution describes how we are different from every other nation on earth. We are able to pursue our hopes and dreams and be who we are without lying. We don't have to hide anything, we have so many freedoms taken for granted.

So many people complain and complain and complain about everything. Yet we don't understand how great we have it here. We have a right to do what we want to do without answering to anyone. Of course this is within reason, but we can talk about how much we hated our President, how much we hate our government, protest, etc. and not worry about getting killed. And not hide. And not worry about our families. This is something other countries have dealt with for centuries.

For media, this is very important and I'm excited we are able to utilize these rights.

  1. You bring up a good issue, however, it alone is insufficient.
You, see, our Founding fathers didn't just give us our rights, liberties and freedoms, set us down and say "ready, set, go".
The crucial premise of our governmental system is a well-educated and moral populace.
See, immoral people abuse their rights, take hate speech for example.
Uneducated people cause the voting system to become flawed, and allows for the federal government to expand and infringe upon our liberties.
I mean, look where we are today, Our president was elected on the basis of hope and change, and a slogan that merely asserts the ability to act. He might as well say that he's for rainbows, kittens, and cupcakes. You can't disagree with that.
However, at the same time, he has finally tipped the balance, propelling our nation to socialism, a subtle shift that was started way back with Wilson, and then the New Deal.
'bama is going to violate our freedom on the basis of an apocalyptic scenario of some sort (economic collapse, global warming, hate and racism, you take your pick)
essentially, he'll tak oyur rights, and we have no basis for opposition, as we would be hailed as hatemongers, warmongers, or any other bad thing with the good ol' -monger suffix.
    it's ridiculous.
    seriously.
I, mean, I really hope this doesn't happen, but, it doesn't look good.
Sorry to rain on your parade of happiness and freedom, but seriously, if we want a return to REAl freedom, we need to wake up, and put the gov't back in its rightful place: serving the people, protecting the people, representing the people.
    yeah.
