Social Networking and Public Speaking

I just finished my first Social Networking course at WSU. It's a very interesting subject. I love how our professor taught the material. He made sure to explain things very well. Social networking is not just a fad, it's a new communication medium. Professor Heldmen explained that it's another child to society, more love to go around. It won't be replacing any former mediums, just adding to them.

I'm very blessed to be a the Elliot Graduate School of Communications at this point in history. Social networking is just blossoming and I'll be able to research it intensely and watch it reach it's full potential.

Social networking aside, the first and most important form of communication is public speaking. Currently, I'm an instructor of speech at WSU. It's very interesting to see how my students feel the concept of public speaking is out dated. I'm working very hard to explain to them that speech is never going away. 1000s 0f years later we are still referencing Aristotle's work "Rhetoric." It'll continue to be the hinges of humanity.
